The story revolves around rebellious five-year-old Vitka, her teenage cousin Larysa and Larysa’s boyfriend, a young criminal Scar. After the death of her father, Larysa wants a different life, even if the entire community condemns her love for Scar. Her grandmother, who sacrificed her love for the sake of traditional values, cares only about the perception by the community. And her mother is lacking emotional strength to support the daughter.
